Email says Forms are available but Turbo Tax will not update for Federal Return

I have not been able to e-file my federal return because the following forms were not yet available:

Schedule C (Form 1040) - Federal Profit or Loss from Business

Form 1040: Individual Form 8995

I signed up for email notifications for when they would be available, and just received the notification but when I open TurboTax it tells me it needs to update before e-filing but if I check updates I receive a message that says my TurboTax is up to date. The website states that these forms are available but the program does not download them.

According to the intuit website these forms are available.

Schedule C (Form 1040), Profit or Loss from Business
Form 8995, Qualified Business Income Deduction Simplified Computation

Wondering why my TurboTax does not download these forms when they are available, and that it keeps telling me everything is up to date when it clearly is not. Thank you.

I've tried turning off the computer, uninstalling and reinstalling the program, and even downloading the manual update but none of that works.

TurboTax email says forms are ready, but when I try to update TurboTax software forms, it says Turbotax is already up to date?

In trying to submit my federal tax return, I get a message that there is an update.  Ii have gone to the Online and clicked "Get Updates" but get a message that I am up-to-date.  I have tried this several times but it still will not submit my return.

I cannot file my returns, Turbo tax says I must update my program but when I do it says we are updated.

I already paid to efile my state and it won't efile that return either.

Very frustrated, need Turbo tax to upload the Sch C and 8895 form.

I have not been able to e-file my federal return because the following forms were not yet available:

Schedule C (Form 1040) - Federal Profit or Loss from Business

Form 1040: Individual Form 8995  They were supposed to be available February 20, 2020.

I have tried to contact Intuit, but cannot get a response.  I have used Turbo Tax for years an this is the 1st time I have had trouble.  Are these forms really available and why won't Turbo tax 2019 Update????

If you are using a desktop version of the software and it is not updating please try a manual update.

Here is a link that will help you with the process.  Manual Update

If that doesn't work, please contact customer service.  Here is a link with contact information:  Contact Information

When you reach an agent, please let them know that since you have already paid for the software and the software is not updating automatically or manually, you will need them to push you a new download.

Reinstalling the software should correct this issue.

when I download and try to install the update, I get a pop up message that says that I need to install TurboTax 2019 first.   Which I already have as I have already done the work to input my tax information

Tried calling customer support.  The woman I spoke to was trying her best to resolve the issue, and brought someone else in to try to find a solution.  They said that there was no fix available yet, and I needed to wait until TurboTax fixes the glitch, if they decide to fix it.

Thanks Karen. This is what I had to do. I purchased a digital copy in January and it would just not update.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

This is why monopolies suck.

Intuit has been left as the only company standing in this space. There used to be 3 or 4 companies competing for your dollars to file taxes. Now that they have a monopoly, this kind of sheit happens.

Welcome to Capitalism in the 21st Century.

It is now April 2nd and still no fix.

The problem is that all computers are a little different, what works on one computer may not work on another. If you lined up 100 computers and downloaded TurboTax on all of them, it may work fine on 99 of them, but there is always that one.

Sorry for the trouble this has caused you, if you have access to another computer I'm sure you would find it would work if you transferred the program to that computer.

The issue is with the licence.

You need to call them and let them know you tried the updates and it did not work and you read here you needed to call in.

I had to create a new account over the phone and they reissued me a new download link with a new lic#.

I downloaded it and installed it and it is now working

Received an email that North Carolina forms are available.  I updated.  No luck! When I try to print or file, Turbotax says that the forms are not available.  When I click the link to be notified, it gives and error message.  Something like Turbotax does not see any forms that are unavailable.   So the solution was to uninstall then reinstall.  If I need to, I might call the customer support people to resolve some license issue, if any.

Is this still the game plan?

Yes if you need assistance, you can reach out to TurboTax Customer Support.

What is the TurboTax phone number?

Uninstalled then reinstalled.  Installed on a different PC.  Same problem.  What now?

Problem is that North Carolina is supposed to be available but it will not print or efile.  When I ask to notify me when forms are ready, it says that no forms meet this criteria.

Reached out to Turbotax customer support on 1/27.  I screen-shared with the nice and knowledgeable person.  Notes were taken and screen shots were copied.  This was all for a team meeting in a few hours.  The customer support person said they would get back to me.

Just now, on 1/29, I received an automated email asking me to take a survey about my experience with customer support.  The email subject is "Your TurboTax Case ............. is Closed - Please Complete our Survey."  I have substituted dots for the real numbers.

Is there a way I can see the final resolution of the problem?  I believe taking the survey, in most cases, just falls into some hole.

1/30 update.  Program still does not work and no one has reached out to me.  No idea why the case was closed.
