e-file not accepting checking account number after changing number from 2018 turbo tax

Having problem E-File, checking account number will not be accepted. The account that was used in 2018 was closed and new account number was used at same BANK. Have made multiple attempts.

Please make sure you are editing the account number and not the bank routing number.

I am having the same issue, though it's while just trying to enter the account number on a new return, not updating. (And no, I am not trying to incorrectly update my routing number.) I have entered/re-entered my account number a half-dozen times and the screen just keeps refreshing to say "Please verify your account number has been entered correctly." I've entered the digits one at a time; I've copied and pasted the entire number directly from my bank account screen; nothing is working - I am stuck trying to get my account number entered.

Darn, same thing happening here to us. It's not a change thing, it's a new customer and TT doesn't like my Routing/Account numbers. Only option is to Mail a check?

Try going back, select a new account and input the information again. Then it should work.
