Downloaded TurboTax Deluxe 2017 for mac. When starting, getting an error, that I cannot open an application. Please HELP!

TurboTax Deluxe 2017 cannot be opened because of a problem.   Check with the developer to make sure TurboTax Deluxe 2017 works with this version of OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and OS X.   Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple

I run OS X Yosemite 10.10.5

so if I have a Mac computer, I'm not able to use the 2017 Turbo Tax download?

You can install Turbo Tax on Mac.  But you need OS 10.11 or newer.  See the System Requirements posted above.

I will go ahead and update my Mac...  Do I need to uninstall or reinstall Turbo Tax after the update?

I don’t know Mac.  Just see if it’s still there after you upgrade.  If not thn reinstall it. @macuser_22
