Charges for State Tax e-file was misleading, $25 instead of $20 shown in software

When I was using TurboTax Premier version to do Federal and state (VA) filing, the software indicated that there will be $20 for State e-filing.

When I went ahead ordering this and I reached a billing page for CC payment and it charged $25 for the filing.

It is a gross bait-and switch scheme, used by low level scums, unethical to a nationally known software, company, like TurboTax and Intuit.

Early season discounts end and fees increase in March.  The fees for online TT increased on March 1 too.

Turbotax has the capability and quite often does update its software.  This could have been corrected because I felt ripped off as well.  Why are you even charging the fee in the first place?

TurboTax does charge an e-file fee for your state tax return. If you would like to avoid this fee you can print and mail the state tax return.

Please follow the instructions in this TurboTax FAQ to contact customer support if the fee that is promoted in TurboTax is different than what you see appear when you are prompted to pay the fee:  What is the TurboTax phone number?
