TurboTax stores, by default, all saved tax data files and PDFs in the TurboTax folder located in your Documents directory. Open the TurboTax folder to see if the 2022 tax data file, which has a file extension of .tax2022, is in the folder.
If it is not, then check the Recycle Bin. If not there then do a hard drive search for the tax data file using a wild card search of *tax.*
did you have to reinstall Turbotax after updating the OS? if so, the OS update may have reformateed your hard drive which means all old files and folders are gone.
I can only find files that are notated as document but they are not the PDF files.
@BulldawgBob You have added on to a old post. What are you looking for? What year? Did you use the Online web version or the Desktop program, etc?
I was trying to load my 2022 Turbo Tax Business return to a new computer desk top so I could begin the 2023 return. The Program says it has found my 2022 return but wanted me to repurchase the state returns for 2022 that I have already paid for. I can't find the usual file ending .tax2022 but I do have a file that says "tax 2022 document"
I am going to have to reenter all of 2022 or start 2023 from scratch. Which would be simpler? Is there any way to download 2022 state programs that I have already paid for? Thanks
Here's a couple links that might help.

What is the 2022 file you found? What is the full name and extension? Maybe you can replace the ending with .tax2022.
