Can I see what my earned income was for 2020 separate from spouse's earned income? The FAFSA needs the Gross earning reported separately not together.

The FAFSA application asks "How much did your Parent 1 (father/mother/stepparent) earn from working (wages, salaries, tips, etc.) in 2020".  My papers for 2020 are at my accountant's office. Turbo tax only gives AGI for both of us combined.

The ONLINE  system is in transition from 2020 to 2021 right now.   Until the transition is complete sometime in early December, the worksheets that are part of the pdf of your return are tied up.  They will be available when the transition is complete.

ALWAYS SAVE YOUR TAX RETURN AFTER YOU FILE IT

EVERY year before mid-October you should save a copy of your tax return as a pdf and print a copy of it for your records.  That way you will not be searching online frantically when you need it for a lender, FAFSA forms, your next tax return, etc.

Saving a copy of your return as a PDF (in addition to the proprietary tax data format TurboTax uses) lets you open, view, and print your return using the free Adobe Reader or Foxit Reader

This is a lifesaver if your tax data file gets corrupted or if you no longer have the TurboTax software to open it in. The government will also accept PDF copies.

Please note that TurboTax PDF files cannot be "read" by the TurboTax software the way the tax data file can. This means they cannot be used for amending, troubleshooting calculation issues, or for full prior-year transfer capabilities.

It seems like the easiest thing to do would be to ask your accountant for the information tomorrow (Monday). And ask the accountant to return your original documents to you. They can keep copies. Keep all your tax documents, and a copy of your tax return, for at least 3 years. Don't rely on being able to access any information from the accountant three years from now. Unexpected things happen.

If you used TurboTax to prepare your tax return yourself, why does the accountant have any of your papers? Why do you even have an accountant?

A joint tax return only shows total income for both spouses combined on the tax return itself. If you have a PDF of your tax return that includes all worksheets, it contains a worksheet for each W-2, which should give you the information you need. If the PDF that you have or download today does not include all worksheets, I don't think you will be able to get it until TurboTax Online comes back up in December. It might only be a week or so until it comes up.
