Bought online but now want to download

I bought the online Deluxe version but because of some of the complicated things in my taxes, I'm wondering if downloading the software would be more beneficial. If I were to buy the software to download, will the money I already paid for the federal and state filing fees be transferred? Or would I have to pay those filing fees again?

No.  Online and Desktop are priced different and have different features.  If you paid for online you can ask to switch to the Desktop program.  You can move your online return to the Desktop program.

To continue in the desktop version see this…….

After you get the program installed the first thing to do before you open your tax return .tax file is to update the program and install any state programs you had. Then open your file. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to FILE - NEW).
