Anyone found a way to change from self-employed without having to start all over? I spent hours on deductions And do not want to spend that time again.

I am being charged twice the cost for a status I did not choose. I feel like I’m being extorted - start over or pay twice the cost.

You can review your fees by following the instructions below.

  1. After signing in to TurboTax, open or continue your return.
  2. Select Tax Tools on the left side of the screen and then Tools.
  3. A Tools Center box will pop up on your screen.
  4. Select the My Fees box on the right.

If your TurboTax fees are higher than expected, you can reduce them by removing add-ons:

It is not personal deductions that throw you into the self employed program ; it is the type of income that you have and any business assets and expenses.

In the future you should consider using the download version of the program. You can buy any version and use all the IRS forms. This means you keep a copy of your taxes on your own computer-it is not saved on the turbotax website.

Go back and delete Schd. SE. Your deductions should stay.
