Anyone else receive this error, " Hmm...it looks like we have hit a slight snag. Please try again or check back later"?

When using my credit card to pay state tax transmission charge. After repeatedly checking back and about two dozen retries, Turbotax returns same error.

Same here! I've been trying to get through since last night. How can they charge so much money for their service and then not deliver?

FYI - the solution is to choose the option to process the credit card payment as a guest.  Do not try to log into your existing Intuit account to process the payment. I actually got a helpful call-back from TT's customer support last night which allowed me to process/file my returns.

i choose "continue as guest" for payment and it went through

It appears that TT's servers are overwhelmed. I kept hitting retry and eventually got through, but it took 1 1/2 houes because the same 'snag' continually popped up at each step of the process.

What the odds of there being heavy load on TurboTax servers during tax season.

I'm having the same problem, and I have hit retry many times to no avail.

Same here - for TWO DAYS!

If it is overloaded servers then shame on TT for taking all that money and giving poor service!

It had to do with some pop up blockers and something else. I called tech support and they walked me through it and stayed on the line until it sent.  They were pretty helpful.

Anyone have specifics on how to solve?

You're going to run into a slight snag with me not being a customer anymore!!! Why can't I file??? I've been continually using/filing with TurboTax (I just threw out my 3 1/2" diskettes from the pre-Intuit version this year...), and I've never had this problem before.

AGREED!!!

This is frustrating.  I wonder if they'll pay the fines for late filing if their servers can't keep up tomorrow...

I just started getting this message.  I'll hit "RETRY" a bunch of times.  I hope that I can get in within 2 days.

Thank you to the person who suggested signing out as guest. I didn't have that option but I did have the option  to create a new account (used CD this year after using online version last decade). Once I did that it finally went right through after 12 hours of getting no where. Never again, turbo tax. We're done.

Are you logging in to an existing Intuit account or signing up for one? Don't. Try continuing as a Guest. That worked for me.

If you are trying to efile both a federal and a state tax, I was able to submit federal first, and then separately efile state. No idea why that worked, but it did.

Yes, trying to purchase a state and it gave me that error. Really I need to get my taxes done ASAP.
