False Alarm! Update finally extracted completely and update was installed..
same thing happened on my iMac. After I restarted it the same delay happened but I let it go 5 or 10 minutes and it did complete on its own. It was just one super long delay!!!
This issue should not be marked solved! It is still a serious problem and Intuit needs to fix it. I find it insulting that the responders imply it's our fault and we have to do multiple complicated steps that don't even work the first time.
Yes it is fixed in the sense if you wait forever for the unpacking, it will eventually finish. and yes if you repeat the process 4 times and reboot 4 times you might get turbotax to load. But this is clearly not a solution; Intuit needs to fix it, not mark it solved.
