Here is the RIGHT answers..

IF you use  turbotax online - all the training videos are right -  login to intuit, check the website, scroll to bottom - etc.

HOWEVER -  the Intuit gap in instructions is if you used a CD to install locally on your PC....  the above instructions available on all their searches is USELESS - and you waste alot of time wondering why its not working....    Here is the simple answer, exit from turbotax local installed program.   go back in - but DONT pick your tax return!!   scroll down some and the "amend" button is non-clearly put down there !!   Ironic  you cant amend from "within" your return... which is what is logical.

That being said - once you know where the button is - its straight forward.   <I had to call Intuit live to learn all that, and left them feedback to fix their helps to cover BOTH modes of turbotax>

See this TurboTax FAQ for help with amending.

You can check the status of your amended return here, but allow 3 weeks after filing for it to show up.
