E-file reject IND-452 happens when a return with your Social Security number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) has already been filed with the federal government.
This can happen if:
Someone else (for example, your spouse or another family member) filed your return for you
Your SSN or ITIN was entered incorrectly
Somebody filed a fraudulent return using your SSN or ITIN
If you're sure nobody you know already filed your return for you, the next step is to review your entries in TurboTax to make sure there aren't any transposed or incorrect numbers.
Select your version of TurboTax for instructions.

On the Personal profile screen, make sure all SSNs or ITINs have been entered correctly.
If any are incorrect, select Edit, and fix them.
Then go to File to refile your taxes.
If your SSNs or ITINs are already correct and don't need fixing, see What if my info is correct? below.

What if my info is correct?
If you've double-checked that the information is correct, it's likely that somebody filed a fraudulent return using your information. If that is the case, follow the information in these links to protect yourself against identity theft:

You won't be able to e-file because your Social Security number or ITIN has already been accepted. Instead, you'll need to print and file your return.
