If you are using online Turbotax (Deluxe or higher), here are 4 ways you can get to the interview screen to import from ItsDeductible. See which one works for you.
While all 4 methods work for me, I tend to favor Method 3, since it shows the list of all topics as you enter the search term. The 2 "jump methods" are more picky and have to be done exactly right.
Method 1:
Method 2:
Same as first method above, but in the Search box enter donations (without quotes), and then click the magnifying glass icon (do not choose anything in the dropdown menu or it might not work). Then click "Jump to donations." (screen image 2).
Method 3:
I have turbotax deluxe using a CD that I installed into my computer and it will not import itsdeductible into my tax return

This thread was originally about the normal import navigation steps in the Online product, and is not really about troubleshooting errors in the desktop product. I see you started your own thread on your issue, so please continue the discussion there.

Method 3:
Your primary directions worked for me. The alternate and third to not; there is no "Jump to donations" link in the search results. Only a bunch of questions relating to donations. If I manually navigate to donations and start that section, I am not asked about itsdeductible.
I opened my return and tested all of the above just before posting it, so not sure why 2 and 3 did not work for you. The search box at the top of the page is real picky. If you enter its deductible (with a space) instead of itsdeductible (one word) or itsdeductable, etc. it won't work. Same with the term donations.
I'm using Premier. I'll test it in Deluxe, and post some screen images if necessary.
They work in Deluxe, too. I'll post some images above. I think what you may have done is enter "itsdeductible" or "donations" and then chose a dropdown topic instead of clicking the magnifying glass. Enter the term in the search box and do not choose a dropdown. Instead click the magnifying glass. I'll add that caveat above, too, with the screen images..
OK. I've also tested it in Deluxe, and all methods worked for me. I added the screen images to the answer above. I've also made it clear about the magnifying glass as well.
I've also added a 4th method. If using the navigation method, it's very picky. There are several ways to navigate, and depending on how one enters tha navigation chain, it might not show up. It might not show up if you click on any donation links other than what I posted in the 4th screen image above. It does show up if you choose "All Tax Breaks" to see a list of all deduction categories and subtopics. The screen image shows some ways to get to "All Tax Breaks."
Thank you so much!! it took quite a bit of searching/way too much time before I finally found your correct answer. Why is it so tricky? very aggravating!
You're welcome. I'm glad you were able to use one of the methods. It's bizarre and non-intuitive. I've told TurboTax for 2 years that some users have difficulty getting to the interface, especially when using the navigation method.
I am using Desktop Home and business. None of those screens show up for me. Any other suggestions? Brenda

This was a thread about Online TurboTax. That's why you didn't see the screens above. Although the "Jump to" methods shown above do work in desktop TurboTax as well since there is a search field in the top right corner. The screen will look different than the above, but the "Jump to" concept is the same.
In any case, here are a couple of additional ways to do it in desktop TurboTax.
Open your return in your desktop product.
Navigate to the Federal Taxes tab (Personal Tab in Home and Business.)
Then choose subtab "Deductions & Credits."
Then select "I'll choose what I work on."
On the page "Your 2017 Deductions & Credits", scroll way down to topic "Charitable Donations."
Choose the subtopic "Import from ItsDeductible Online."
Or here's another way if using a desktop product for Windows (there may be something similar in MAC, but I can't view a MAC program to see how the menus are labelled).
Open your return in your desktop product.
Once the return is open, way up in the top left corner click the FILE menu.
Then in the dropdown menu select IMPORT.
Then in the next menu choose "From ItsDeductible."
I keep getting an error message related to the internet connection: Please check your Internet connection. This problem could be caused by intermittent or limited Internet service. Make sure your wireless connection is working or your network cable is plugged in. If you are unable to reach the site, you can call 1-800-4-INTUIT (select the option for TurboTax when prompted). This is ridiculous! I've used TurboTax and It's Deductible for years....and I can search and use the internet on my laptop so not sure why TurboTax can't import. Help! It's the last thing I need to do to finish my taxes!! Thanks anyone who can help!! I've tried calling into TurboTax but can't get past the system prompts - doesn't even recognize my phone or email....UGH! I think I'm done with TurboTax. I've had so many problems in the past few years!

This is an answered thread so it is no longer in the active queue, so it won't show up to the whole forum, and no TurboTax employees will see it.
This thread has to do with navigation. Since you are having a technical problem, you should start your own new thread where it will show up to everyone and where you can be questioned in order to troubleshoot. You can start your thread using the link below.
When you go to the form at the link, the first box is for a summary of your question, like a title, and is limited to 170 characters.. If you need more room to explain details of the issue, lower on the form you will come to another box with plenty of room to enter details. This is a public Internet forum, so don't post any personal info.

Oh, no. The forum's spam filter ate your thread. It has a nasty habit of doing that occasionally. I may have caused it by adding additional keywords to your thread title that might attract someone; i.e., I added that you are using a Mac desktop product and getting an Internet connection error when importing. It usually allows me to make such an addition to attract more eyes. So I'm sorry about that. The dadgum unpredictable filter may have thought that it was a robot.
I've requested a TurboTax Moderator to restore your thread when they get to work tomorrow.
In the meantime, read through this very similar thread at the link below and scroll down to see the Answer provided there. See if anything there is helpful.

jnpeck:
From your other thread I saw you are using the desktop version for MAC. If it was installed from a CD, be sure that you have removed the CD. It cannot properly update with the CD in the drive.
Be sure you are getting the latest updates. Close TurboTax and restart your Mac. Then open TurboTax and let it update.
For some unknown reason, when I click YES, this pops up even when I have a clear wifi connection:
There was a connection problem. |

I called Turbo Tax and they couldn't do anything. I have signed onto It's Deductible on the same computer so have no idea why it's saying this. Really starting to dislike Turbo tax after 14 years of using. Always one problem after another.
Every year, TurboTax works diligently to keep our promise of bank level data security. This may mean that the device that worked perfectly in the past, may no longer meet the minimum requirements.
Here are some troubleshooting articles to consider:
Check that your device meets minimum system requirements.
Verify your router is working correctly by unplugging both the modem and the router, waiting a couple of minutes and plugging just the modem back in. Wait until everything has completely restarted before repeating this process with the router.
To activate TurboTax software, your will need to verify the product license code online. See: Why do I need to connect to the Internet this year?
