Schedule C issue: The system won't allow me to enter business deductions, and keeps asking me if I had 1099-Misc. I have already entered 1099-NEC info.

it asked if I had "Any 1099-MISC Income", the answer is "No", continue to next page is "Did you get a 1099-K", the answer is"No". But after that, the system brought me back to the "Any 1099-MISC Income" again. It supposed to move to the page where allows me to enter business deductions.

I believe this is a bug, recently introduced by an update, which has been reported.

Please check back at a later date.

Thank you for looking into it!

I have the exact same error.  I tried opening a new return, and left everything out, but still get the same thing.  I called Intuit, but the customer service rep couldn't figure out why it was happening, and said she'd look into it.
This really needs to be fixed, because it prevents people from completing their returns!

Did you read the answer above?  Apparently it is a bug that will be fixed.  If you are using the Desktop program be sure to do every update.  They usually come out on Thursdays and more often if needed.

Yes, I read the answer.  I just wanted Intuit to know that more than one person is having this issue.  My software is up to date, but still can't get past that question.  Looks like Intuit may be addressing similar issues next Wednesday in their online "Ask the Experts" event.

Same issue... This is really bad and preventing me from filling. Can I get a refund?

So after two sessions and about an hour on the phone with Intuit, the conclusion is that the 2023 version of Turbotax Deluxe cannot handle self-employed taxes, and I would need to buy the Home & Business version.  Maybe I'll do that for next year, but for this year I'll just fill out the forms manually, as that seems to work.
Strange that the 2022 Deluxe version had no problems with self-employment taxes.
Maybe the Home & Business version would work, but I have no way of knowing without buying it!

No.  There is currently a bug in the program.  It has been reported.  Be sure to keep updating the program for when a fix comes out.  They usually send out updates on Thursdays.

I am using the 2023 Premier Edition desktop for Windows and found this workaround.

When the program asks if you received a Form 1099-K answer Yes.  On the 1099-K enter any name for the Payer, any 9 digits for the Payer ID and then enter $1 in box 1a.  Click on Continue and click on Done.

This will take you back to the Form 1099-MISC question and  answer NO.  Click on Continue.

You will now be back at the Form 1099-K Summary screen.  Click on the BACK button.  You can now continue the interview for the Schedule C.

Thank you for providing a solution. However, for such a significant bug, TurboTax should have addressed it through a system update! For someone who has not checked these posts, it might cause them a great deal of frustration.

Taxes are due in a few days and I CANNOT figure out away to get to schedule C for my spouse.  i was able to use your hack for myself, but can't for the life of me use the hack again for a second schedule C
