How do I upload documents to my Full Service tax expert?
After you've agreed to work with your TurboTax Full Service tax expert, we'll walk you through adding as many of your tax documents as possible. Once you’re done adding your docs, either an assistant or your expert will check them and confirm they have everything needed for your expert to start preparing your taxes.
Adding and removing digital documents on your checklist
Sign in to TurboTax.
Select Documents.
To add a document, select Add.
Alternatively, you can do a bulk upload by selecting Add Any Doc. This will let you upload all your documents to the checklist at once.
To remove a document, select Delete from the more menu (...) next to the file you want to remove.
For physical or paper documents
Sign in to TurboTax.
Either upload a scan or take a photo and upload, depending on whether you are using the web or mobile:
Online: Scan or take a photo of the document. Transfer the digital file or photo to your computer and then select Upload a file.
Mobile app: Select Add any doc and Snap a photo.
Tip: Make sure you're in a well-lit area, preferably against a dark background, and position your camera to take a photo of the entire document.
Sharing documents from your financial institution
TurboTax lets you directly and securely share investment documents (like 1099-INT, DIV, OID, DA, and B) from your financial institution through the Import function.
Sign in to TurboTax.
Select Add any doc or Add in the section of the form you want to share.
Select Import.
Select your brokerage or financial institution from the list.
Enter your sign-in credentials for your account, then select Get my form.
Your imported investment form will be added to your checklist item.
