What do I enter for employment date in for a CR 1040, it is for school credits. I cannot file my return because of this. I'm not sure what to put. I did not work there.

A 1040CR is a form for the Michigan homestead credit.  Can you clarify what form you are dealing with and what the error is saying?

That makes sense to me to be a CR form...turbo automatically placed "scholarship and fellowship grants" in the form and is asking me for employment dates.  It's showing as a w-2 on the form to fill out but the review page says it's a CR-1040.

You are probably better off having someone walk through the return with you to look at your entries so I recommend getting live expert help.
