Why doesn't turbotax update status that IRS has. My return was accepted and I have a DD date. But Turbotax does not reflect the same information.

Once you file your tax return, TurboTax is done.  TT never gets an update or any information at all from the IRS or state.   Your only source of information after your return has been accepted is the refund site for the IRS or your state.

 

 

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2021 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.
