You can track the status of your return on the IRS Where's My Refund? site. That is where you will find the most up-to-date information regarding the status of your tax return and a specific date of when to expect your refund.
Per the IRS, most refunds are received within 21 days from the time a return has been accepted and a refund option is selected. Once the IRS sends the money to your bank the time frame for seeing the deposit in your account is based upon how quickly your bank accepts and deposits the funds.

For additional information, please see the TurboTax FAQ When will I get my IRS refund?

Please note if you chose to pay your TurboTax Fees with your refund, your refund will be handled through Santa Barbara Tax Products Group.

I filed mine on 2/1.  It was approved on 2/3.  Its not 3/2 and still haven't received it through direct deposit.  I'm just concerned I entered the wrong bank information or something.  It should track refund automatically for you instead of typing in information to search for your refund.

TurboTax does not receive updates from the IRS once they have accepted your return. If it has been more than 21 days since your return was accepted,  You will need to contact the IRS  at 1-800-829-1040 and follow the prompts for a live representative. The person that you speak with will have direct access to your tax return and be able to provide you with a status update.

When you call, make sure you have the following information:

  • tax year
  • social security number
  • filing status
  • exact refund amount
