I just got a Turbo Tax email scam. The scam email was well done and just how did they get my email?
No, I do not believe it was random. This was too well done.
I can verify that the email is a scam since the scam email has a different telephone number from the Turbo Tax telephone number.
Likewise, they make use of the 'turbotax.com' domain which the real Turbo tax never uses.
Everyone, be very careful of these scam emails.

People's email addresses are all over the internet, on Facebook and other social media apps, and in various public filings. I get scam emails allegedly from many companies that I have never done business with. Any chance that your email provider's server was hacked?
Was it any of these? Phishing and support scams
No, there is zero chance 'my email server got hacked' ZERO
Though, did someone at Turbotax sell their email list? That's my suspicion.
No, it was none of those. If Intuit Turbo Tax really cares, they could ask for a copy of the scam email.
Turbo Tax in and of itself is a scam. WORST !
