I think I gave the wrong information regarding my direct deposit

If you have already e-filed or mailed in your return, you are not able to make any changes to your bank account information. If your financial institution rejects the deposit, the government will mail your refund check.

If you've already filed and your return has been accepted (or mailed), it's too late to change your bank account for direct deposit. If you have not filed yet you can click here to find the directions to update your direct deposit.
