I just want to know if i am going to get the rest of the money owed to me. I understand money was taken for the turbo tax fees. those should not add up to thousands of dollars being taken from my return. It says I should have my money by the 11th on the IRS Website. I used Turbo Tax.
The IRS may have adjusted your refund for some reason. You should receive a notice within a couple of weeks with an explanation and steps you can take.
See this FAQ for some reasons a refund is less than expected: https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1894477-why-is-my-federal-refund-less-than-i-expected
I went on the IRS Website and I have seen that it has been adjusted, just not buy almost $2000. Sorry can't and will not accept that due to fees and adjustments I've lost $2000. I does not make sense and your cookie cutter generic explanations does not help.
Where is the money?
How are you saying ask the IRS, when the IRS is telling me the amount I am supposed to get????
We made changes to your tax return that changed the amount of your refund.
You will receive a notice that explains the changes we made to your tax return. You should receive your notice and the balance of your refund, $4,986.00, by July 11, 2017.
This is Directly From The IRS.........
So what adjustment and fees could cause this much money not being refunded?
It is not July 11th yet. Only the IRS can tell you whether they are sending your refund in installments or not. No one on this site or at TurboTax has any knowledge of your refund. Since you had your fees paid from your federal refund, you can contact the intermediary bank that handles the refund processing service for their status: For the status of your tax refund you will need to contact the third party processor, Santa Barbara Tax Product Group, using their website - https://cisc.sbtpg.com/index.aspx

I too have this problem IRS says my refund amount so does Intuit but I missing alot of money too
I'm going through the same problem to I'm trying to find out why I don't have all the money owed to me I been waiting 4 weeks now I gotta wait a couple more weeks to get a letter about the issue it just doesn't make sense
You'll get an explanatory letter from the Bureau of the Fiscal Service if your refund is offset. The remainder of your refund will be processed as usual. An offset shouldn't delay it, unless your entire refund was applied to your debt.
There could be a few reason's why your tax refund is lower than expected. Please see the TurboTax FAQ below for more information on refund offsets:

How can I contact this Third party to receive the rest of my tax refund.. If this is what Turbo-tax is doing now. THIS IS DEFINITELY A SCAM AND I WILL REPORT TO BBS. WHERE'S MY REFUND?!!
Once your return has been accepted (received) by the government, they take over the refund status update duties, since they hold the purse strings. The status in TurboTax will remain as "accepted."
Check the IRS Where's My Refund site for the latest word on your federal tax refund, and your state government's refund lookup service for your state’s status.
Does this IRS "Where's My Refund" tool say your funds have actually been sent?
http://www.irs.gov/Refunds
Were you having the refund direct deposited to your bank account directly ?
If the IRS has actually sent the funds, the IRS FAQ page says to allow "up to 5 days" due to variations in bank processing procedures and times.
If so did you enter the correct routing & account number for an ACH transfer ? Here is how you can see your deposit information:
Your direct deposit information will be at the bottom of your Form 1040.
To view your 1040 after filing, Sign into TurboTax > Taxes > Tax Timeline > Some other things you can do > Download/print (.pdf).
Please see the following FAQ article below if you entered in the wrong bank account information.

A state tax refund is not sent to the third party processor, Santa Barbara Tax Product Group. It is sent by your state.
If your state tax refund was less than what was on your state tax return, then you need to contact your state department of revenue for the reason - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/state-taxes/help/how-do-i-contact-my-state-department-of-revenue/01/25573
The state will be sending you a letter in the mail in a few weeks with the explanation.
I was supposed to get 1683 but they only gave me $600 why is that TurboTax fees are only like a 145$?
Something is not right! SBTPG is the bank. If you owed them money, they would have taken it. If the IRS did not give them the full amount, then someone took it from the IRS for debt like school, kids, etc.
You need to find out if the IRS took some of the money or SBTPG or if there is another problem.
The IRS treasury offset phone number is 800-304-3107. You can learn more at Topic No. 203 Reduced Refund | Internal Revenue Service.
SBTPG can be contacted at 800-717-7228 or 877-908-7228. Website Santa Barbara Tax Products Group website
@Timothy1980 Good luck!
@Timothy1980 What was suppose to be 1683? That sounds like your 2019 Refund? $600 sounds like the second stimulus check. Might be for 2 different things.

Hello, did you ever figure this out? I'm having same problem
There are multiple reasons for your possible refund. The IRS is doing refunds and stimulus checks in stages depending on your specific situation. You could be one of those getting a second amount later. You could also have owed the IRS or others and some of your money was taken as an offset. You may made a mistake with a typo or regarding your stimulus.
If you are among the many in the two part series, it is just a waiting game. If there was an offset or mistake, you will receive a letter with more information.
Each return must be cross checked for the normal and now with the new laws:
The IRS is also processing returns mailed in last year and handling the current stimulus. They have scheduled this summer to adjust unemployment on this year's returns.
The more items on your return, the more complicated the processing, becoming a two part refund.
They paid what was more easily verified is the most likely reason.
