Why can’t I talk to someone about my taxes an actual live person??? I filed my taxes on February 7 got a letter from the IRS on February 19 and still have not got my taxes back. The letter stated they needed to check on the accuracy of my taxes it’s been almost 2 months and no help from TurboTax!
TurboTax does not receive any information from the IRS after you file your tax return, nor can TurboTax intercede with the IRS for you. TT does not know about a letter you received from the IRS. There may have been something that did not match between your tax return and the income information submitted by employers, etc. that caused the IRS to question it. Unfortunately, the IRS is not taking phone calls at this time due to the pandemic. Although it is frustrating, you will have to wait for the IRS to finish processing your return. If they request any additional information from you, supply it promptly.
Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.
