I need to file an amended return for federal and state. I’m pretty comfortable with the federal one, but would like to talk to someone for state.

Please see how do I amend my state tax return if you are just trying to determine how to prepare the state amended return.  Typically, the changes you make when you start your federal amended return will pull into the state amended returns.
