So very sorry for your loss.   But why do you think you need to put your child's death certificate on a tax return?  There is no place to enter a death certificate on a tax return.

Thank you so much, I claimed him on my taxes and his death occurred the end of last year. My return says it’s still being processed and of course I can’t get anyone on the phone to see as to why that it is. I thought maybe this is what’s holding up the process. My return was excepted on the tenth of February.

No.   You did not need to enter a death certificate.   Sorry---there are a lot of delays for 2020 refunds.

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 34of your 2020 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

To track your state refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

Thank you so much. I thought maybe it was an error on my part.
