You will want to start with deleting the original ones.

While in your return, type “1099” in the Search box and then select the “Jump to” link. This will take you directly to the 1099 Summary screen. Select Edit or Delete next to the 1099 you want to change or delete.

If you’re deleting a 1099, answer Yes when you’re asked to confirm the deletion.

Then import the revised 1099's into the program:

You can securely import your 1099-B1099-DIV1099-INT1099-OID, or 1099-R into TurboTax, provided your broker or financial institution participates in our TurboTax Partner program.

When you get to the place in TurboTax where we ask if you received that form, answer Yes and we'll give you the option to import.

You can also jump straight to that section by searching for the 1099 form number in TurboTax and then clicking the Jump to link in the search results.

Tip: When selecting your financial institution or brokerage from the list, be sure to select the right one. For example, several participating partners' names start with First National Bank and if you select the "wrong" First National Bank, you won't be able to import.

Hello.  I was notified that I have an amended 1099 from my brokerage.  I deleted my current one in Turbotax and imported again, but nothing changed.  How soon after the notification do the amended 1099s get imported instead?  Thanks.

My 1099 got amended. I deleted the old 1099 on turbo tax. I tried importing the amended 1099 which has the same account and document number at capitalone investing. The original 1099 keeps showing up. I went to capitalone investing and i opened the 1099 and i see the amended 1099, all ok, but when i import into turbo tax, again the old one...i have tried several times...please HELP!

Experiencing (more or less) the same issue as samirarora . . . E*TRADE issued an amended 1099 for my account.  I tried to import it (both before and after deleting the original from TurboTax), and TurboTax will only import the original 1099.

I see this is an old post but are you sure?    I imported a 1099.  I was going crazy trying to match it to my 1099 statement.  Then eventually I got an Amended 1099 statement and the one I had imported matched the Amended one!

yeah, i tried a few times a few nights ago.  it's easy to tell that i get the old 1099 because just looking at the 1099-DIV, the numbers are totally off!  they match the original 1099.

I was notified a couple of days ago that E*Trade issued amended 1099's. I verified they are there (this happens every year). I deleted the 1099's from TurboTax, saved, closed, reopened, refreshed for updates, etc... but, when I try to import the new 1099's only the original docs are displayed. If I'm providing my E*Trade username & password, there shouldn't be any lag. Does anyone know how to resolve this? Do I still just need to wait a few days? Help, please. Thank you.

Have you already filed your tax return? If so, the only way to make corrections or changes is to amend your return.  Please see How to amend (change or correct) a return you already filed for more information.

Disregard above. E*TRADE may have done something on their side, as the 'corrected 1099' doc is now 'visible' via the TurboTax 'import documents' option.
