To answer your second question....not advisable with "Online" tax software since you could irreversibly screw up your tax file. You'd have to remember exactly how you answered every question in your original tax file so that it could be set back to the original setting....and 99.9% of us have no such photographic memory.
With the "Desktop" software, you could save your original tax file to a second test file, and go thru all the questions again in the test file to see if you answered properly and check how your answers affect the $$ that end of being entered entered on every form line. The most major area that can get messed up is answers to the follow-up questions for 1099-R form entries.....but other areas can have confusing Q&A's too.
Another option would be to use the Amendment process then when you are done you could UNDO the amendment to put things back to normal if you did accidentally change something.
How do I get a copy of a return I filed this year in TurboTax Online? https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3301525
If these instructions do not work for you then you can try this option to print your return:
To get whole return with all the worksheets please log back in your TurboTax account and "add a state" to open the return back up (you are not really adding a state, just to open it back up), then select Tools, Print Center and choose the print center, then select returns and choose the radio button to include all worksheets. If you go this route you can review all the input screens but do NOT NOT NOT make any changes. If you need to make changes in a filed return then you must use the amendment process.
Did you use the Online version?
That's common to end up with multiple accounts. First LOG OUT of whatever TurboTax account you're logged into right now. Then use this TurboTax account recovery website to get a list of user ID's for an email address. Run the tool against any email addresses you may have used

If you used the Desktop CD/Download program then the only copy is on your computer and not saved or stored online.
