If you have not already e-filed your tax return you can see the following TurboTax FAQ for information on how to get to the area of your return to enter/change your bank account information. Once in that area of your return, you can follow the steps listed at the bottom of the answer to change your information.
If you're getting a refund, we'll ask for your bank account info once you choose the direct deposit option (it's on the How Do You Want Your Federal Refund? screen in the File section).
If you owe additional taxes to the IRS and you're e-filing, enter your bank account info on the How Do You Want To Pay Your Federal Taxes? screen (choose the first option, direct debit). Direct debit is not an option for paper-filed federal returns.
To review previously-entered bank account info, simply revisit the File section in TurboTax and step through the screens.

If you have already e-filed or paper filed
Once your return is e-filed and accepted then no changes can be made to the return, or your refund payment method. If it is rejected, then you can go back in and modify the refund payment method.
If the IRS tries to deposit your refund to the bank account on the return and it is closed, or the account name does not match the return name, it will be pulled back and automatically sent as a paper check to the address on the file as the mailing address on the return.
This is a Turbo Tax FAQ with a video that explains this process.

@Xavier19 If you have already e-filed or mailed your return, you can no longer update your banking information. If your financial institution rejects the deposit, the government will mail your refund check.
If you have yet to file your taxes, you can still change your direct deposit information by following the steps in this FAQ: How do I change my transferred direct deposit information?
In most cases, once the IRS has accepted your return (or you've already mailed it), there's not much you can do. If the info you provided is for a closed or invalid account, the government will mail you a refund check. For more information please click the link below.

TurboTax does not store your bank information.
Once a tax return has been filed the bank information cannot be changed.
When you file the 2020 federal tax return you can enter the bank routing and account number for a direct deposit of a federal tax refund in the File section of the TurboTax program.

If you have already e-filed and it has been accepted by the IRS or you mailed in your 2020 tax return, you are not able to make any changes to your direct deposit information in TurboTax. If your financial institution rejects the deposit, the government will mail your refund check. If your return gets rejected, you can update your account information and any issues that caused the rejection.
If your tax refund hasn't posted yet, you can try to call the IRS and request them to stop the direct deposit.
Please see the FAQ: What if I entered the wrong bank account for direct deposit? for additional information.
I got a new routing and account number for my bank I change the old one to the new one so hard do I update it for my taxes
If you have already e-filed or mailed in your 2020 tax return, you are not able to make any changes to your direct deposit information. If your financial institution rejects the deposit, the government will mail your refund check.
If you have yet to file, you can change your direct deposit information. See the below TurboTax FAQ for instructions.
