How can I change my direct deposit info and look up W2s from a previous employer? I lost my job April 2019 and struggled to find work, now working with Afni and Postmates

I worked at Conduent from July of 2015 to 2019, worked at Dunkin Donuts for a day or two and worked at The Bat Complex, all in Lexington then became unemployed again due to COVID and lost almost everything I own and I want to put my missed stimulus checks into PayPal Cash as my last banking app is closing.

1. The only way to update the bank account information now is to file the 2020 tax return.

2. To look up W-2's from 2019, check your transcripts at the IRS because they also received a copy. To do this, go to the IRS website at www.irs.gov and request a Record of Account transcript for 2018 and 2019 by selecting this IRS link: Get Transcript Online.

3. Keep in mind that each year must be filed separately. 2019 must be filed using 2019 rules. For more information, see: How do I prepare a 2019, 2018, or 2017 tax return?

4. Regarding 2020:

  • When filing the 2020 tax year, to report whether the stimulus payments have been received as the Recovery Rebate Credit, follow these steps:
    • Go to the search box and enter stimulus. Click the Jump to link.
    • Answer Yes.
    • At the next screen, Let's double-check the amount you received, answer No to edit the first-round and second-round amounts.
    • If no stimulus amount was received, enter 0. An amount must be entered in each box. When finished, click Continue.
  • To start entering W-2 information for 2020, inside TurboTax, go to the search box in the top right corner and enter W2
    • Select the Jump to link in the search results.
    • Select Add a W-2 to begin entering information.
    • For more information, see: How do I import or enter my W-2?

  • Regarding reporting any unemployment received, this is reported in its own section.
