How can I amend my tax return?

If your return has already been accepted by the IRS then you will have to amend your return to make any changes.  You should wait until you receive the original refund or until payment has been processed if you owed on original return.

To amend your 2017 return in TurboTax Online:

1. Sign into your account and and select Tax Home on the left side of your screen.
2. Under Your tax returns & documents, select Amend (change) 2017 return.
3. Carefully follow the onscreen instructions
4. Print out and mail in your amended return, amended returns can't be e-filed
