Did you chose to pay your TurboTax fees out of your Federal refund?   If so, I've left info below on how to log into your temporary account at SBTPG (the company that handles that process) to see if you can find out anything.

You can also phone SBTPG Customer Support during the day on weekdays.   See the info I leave below.

The agreement was made with Turbo Tax - You are offering the prepaid visa as an option. Why is Turbo Tax scamming people by 3rd party bank that charges 39.99 to issue a check when the funds were requested for a direct deposit on a CARD?

The funny thing is, you can't call Greent Dot, they don't answer and auto disconnect when you ask to speak to a LIVE person - You can't call Turbo Tax, they don't answer either - unless of course you upgrade.

I agreed to have a Visa Card sent to me and have my funds on that card - IRS states it was sent 2.27.2019 - The TPG bank received their notice of approval 2.26.2019 - but decided to send me a check - WHY? Now I have another fee of 39.99 from the bank to issue a check - IS this a good business model to you Turbo Tax? It's frustrating.

You're posting in an old already-answered thread from last year that will not show up to the whole forum as needing help.  This is mainly a user community forum, not a direct route to TurboTax Support.

The 39.99 service fee is for everyone who chooses to pay the fees out of the Federal refund.  It has nothing to do with direct deposit or a check.   If you have an additional fee due to a mailed check, however, that would be $20.00, charged by SBTPG.   If SBTPG is issuing you a check, that means the direct deposit from SBTPG to your card must have failed for some reason.  It if it did and if SBTPG is issuing you a check, they charge an additional fee of $20.00.

Here's where you can get the phone number to speak to the folks at SBTPG.

Or maybe you can get some info by logging into your temporary account at SBTPG.  Choose the taxpayer portal at:

Did you choose to pay any product fees out of your Federal refund?

If you chose to pay your TurboTax fees out of your Federal refund, your funds will first go from the IRS to a temporary account at an intermediary bank--either Civista Bank of Sandusky, Ohio, or Green Dot Bank.  At the intermediary bank the fees are subtracted, then the rest of your funds are sent on to your bank (or prepaid debit card) in a second deposit.  The company that handles that is SBTPG (Santa Barbara Tax Products Group.)

Less commonly there can be delays at the intermediary bank, and additional ID info, etc. might be required.

If for any reason the second deposit fails (the one that is actually to your bank or card), it will bounce back to SBTPG's bank who will issue you a paper check in the mail.

Once the IRS has released your funds, you can log in to your temporary account at SBTPG to see the status of your funds.

To log in, choose the taxpayer portal at:
https://www.sbtpg.com/

SBTPG has a phone contact page at the following link. It also shows their business hours.  Even when they are closed, you may be able to get automated info, or you can log in as above.

If you have not received a return from a prior year, you would need to contact the IRS. @Troymella

@ Christinevonsalzen TurboTax will not have any information concerning your tax refund once the 2020 tax return was accepted by the IRS.

If you requested to have the TurboTax account fees deducted from your federal tax refund, the IRS will send the refund to a third party processor to have the fees and the service charge deducted. The third party processor will deduct the TurboTax fees plus the service charge and then attempt to direct deposit the remaining refund balance into the account that you entered on your tax return.

For the status of your tax refund you will need to contact the third party processor, Santa Barbara Tax Product Group, using their website - https://www.sbtpg.com/

@Cartercuts This is a public website that can be seen by anyone including scammers and would-be identity thieves who would love to call you and pretend to be from TurboTax  so the filter removed your phone number for your own protection.  Please do not post your personal information in the user forum.

No one from the forum can call you.   And...if your refund went to the third party bank, that is who you have to contact--not TurboTax.

Your tax refund was not sent to TurboTax.   TurboTax does not handle your refund at all.

Santa Barbara Tax Products Group, LLC  (SBTPG) is the bank that handles the Refund Processing Service when you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your refund. This option also has an additional charge from the bank that processes the transaction.

You can contact them SBTPG, toll-free, at 1-877-908-7228 or go to their secure website www.sbtpg.com

Please rephrase your comment.  As written it does not make much sense.

Did you or did you not receive the 2018 federal tax refund?  There are no tracking numbers for a tax refund either as a direct deposit or sent as a check.
