Federal Tax Refund Rejected

My federal tax returns were rejected. The reason they said was last year Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) is not matching when I filed this year's returns. I checked and they were the same numbers. I have no idea why they gave that reason.

There are a few places you can find last year's AGI. Please see the instructions below, to see if they match.

How do I find last year’s AGI?

@CassLO Mine taxes was accepted federal and state i file on the 23rd of January the refund was suppose to direct deposit my card on the 13th of February. What is causing the delay?

That would be up to your financial institution. The IRS suggests waiting up to 5 business days from the time they send your refund before contacting your financial institution.

You can check on the status of your return here on Where's My Refund?

This page can provide answers about the timing of your refund.

When will I get my IRS tax refund?

@Sassychick387 Turbo Tax transmits your return to the IRS so when a rejection occurs, the reason is a discrepancy between the data that the tax payer has provided versus what the IRS has on file. Please take a look at the information that I have provided below to help decipher and fix the issue:

Have you ordered a tax transcript to see if your AGI is correct? Sometimes the IRS makes adjustments to your AGI that you may not be aware of. Please click this link to order a transcript online from the IRS.

Please see this for more information: TurboTax Online instructions for E-file reject IND-031-04 or IND-032-04: The AGI or Self-select PIN from last year doesn't match IRS records
