Did I get approved or denied for cash advance?

I received the following email from [email address removed]:

As a reminder, your Turbo℠ Visa® Debit Card, issued by Green Dot Bank¹, will arrive soon. Although you were not approved for a Refund Advance, your refund amount, less any applicable fees and the cost of any products or services agreed to, will be loaded onto your card when the IRS or state tax authorities distributes your refund.

(ALSO NOTE THE EMAIL STATES THEY ARE NOT AFFILIATED WITH FIRST CENTURY)

This email came in BEFORE my taxes were even accepted by the IRS. So my questions (like so many others) is this SERIOUSLY my denial? Or do I still have hope that the advance is approved and wait for that email 1 hour (or less) from acceptabes as TurboTax's website states?

I understand that the pre-qualification is not the guarantee of the loan, however, I have absolutely no reasons that I would have been denied the loan. The fact the email came before the taxes were even accepted is confusing and frustrating. Does anyone have an idea on what the actual denial or approval should look like - should I disregard this greendot generated email and wait. Any advice from someone besides  turbo robot with links to the same BS information would be great!

The email you received should have included the reason why you were not approved. Your approval is based on the size of your federal refund and your tax information, along with other factors. You may not receive the Refund Advance if one of these factors doesn’t meet the qualifying standards of the lender. Please call 1-888-679-8122 for further assistance.

@TerukoL The email was from Green Dot. Not First Century - so is it legit or not? That's all I'd like to know thanks.
