2016 will not load so I can amend it; I have successfully amended 2014 and 2015, but 2016 will not run

What seems to be the hang up ?  Do you get an error message ?

Do you have the tax file ending in .tax2016 and the 2016 program installed?  Is it the full program or the downloaded amend program?

no, none of these are problems. to repeat, 2014 and 2015 are not problems, just 2016.
