What if I entered the wrong address for my refund check?
If you’re concerned that you’ve entered the wrong address on your tax return (or you moved since filing), first check to see if it’s correct by following these steps:
Go to Documents
Select Download tax PDF to get a copy of your return.
The mailing address you used for filing will be on the first page of your return.
If your mailing address is incorrect, you'll need to update your mailing address with the IRS by filing Form 8822. Alternatively, you can update the IRS by calling 800-829-1040. Be prepared to provide your full name, old and new addresses, and your Social Security number (SSN), Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN), or Employer Identification Number (EIN).
The IRS is no longer sending out paper check refunds. You may get your refund through a debit card, digital wallet payment, or another type of electronic payment.
I chose up to 5 days early refund delivery, Refund Advance, or Pay with My Refund
If you chose up to 5 days early refund delivery, Refund Advance, or Pay with My Refund and your address is incorrect, call 800-4INTUIT.
We can return your refund to the IRS. Then you'll need to contact the IRS at 800-829-1040 to update your information with them. TurboTax can’t do this on your behalf.
