Beginning with tax year 2024, we’re offering TurboTax Desktop via download only. We are no longer offering TurboTax Desktop as a CD.

Where can I purchase TurboTax Desktop for tax year 2024?
TurboTax Desktop will still be available for purchase in select stores and TurboTax.com.
Is my product and data still on my computer?
Yes, your product will still be downloaded onto your computer. There are no changes to the Desktop product.
Does TurboTax Desktop still include 5 federal e-files?
Yes.
Is the product changing?
No, we are not changing the product, we are only changing the way you install it.
Why did we make this change?
It’s faster and easier for you to install. Your download will always provide the latest version of the software.
You don’t have to worry about scratching or damaging your CD.
You’ll be able to redownload or reinstall your software whenever you want. No need to find your CD or keep it just in case.
It’s easier to transfer your prior year TurboTax data.
Are you able to share the download with friends like the CD?
Your purchase of TurboTax Desktop comes with one license code. A license code can be connected to just one Intuit Account.
