Yes, you can use your federal or state (if applicable) refund to cover your TurboTax fees. When your tax refund is processed, a $40 processing fee will be deducted from your refund in addition to your owed TurboTax fees.
If you are eligible and receiving both federal and state refunds, the fees will be deducted from whichever refund is deposited first, provided it is large enough to cover the total cost.
What are the eligibility requirements to pay with my refund?
To use this option, you must meet the following criteria:
Your federal or state (if applicable) refund must be large enough to cover your total TurboTax fees.
You must e-file your federal return with TurboTax, and your tax forms must be final and available for e-file.
You must have a valid US address (PO boxes or commercial addresses are not accepted)
You (and your spouse, if filing jointly) must be 18 or older.
You must direct deposit your refund into a single U.S. bank account. You can't split your refund across multiple accounts.
The name on the bank account must match the name on your tax return.
You must enter a valid Social Security number.
You can't have taken out a TurboTax Flex Advance loan.
Note: TurboTax fees can be deducted from either your federal or state refund (if applicable).
