How do I take a picture of my W-2 in the mobile app?

You can import your W-2 into the TurboTax mobile app by taking a picture of it. Here’s how:

1. Open the app and select Start or Review/Edit under Wages & Income.
2. On the We'll start with your W-2 screen, select Work on my W-2, then Continue.
3. Enter your Employer ID when prompted, then Continue.
4. If a screen appears saying We can import your info automatically, select the button Change how I enter my form.
5. When you see the How do you want to enter your W-2? screen, tap Snap a photo and then Continue.
6. If asked, give permission to TurboTax to access your camera.
7. Helpful tips might appear before you see the option to select Now let's snap a photo.
   • Note: Although TurboTax will use your device's camera, the W-2 picture won't be saved with your other device pictures, nor in your TurboTax account.
8. TurboTax should then automatically import your information, or direct you to type it in if there’s a problem.
