Why am I getting a repeated error on my Minnesota Property Tax Statement?

If you’re filing a Minnesota state return and keep getting the same error when you try to e-file, your Property Tax ID might contain a dash, space, or special character that’s causing the issue.

How to fix this error

  • Go to your Minnesota state return.

  • Go through the state return until you get to the Property Tax Statement section.

  • Clear/remove the Property Tax ID.

  • Re-enter your Property Tax ID using only numbers and letters—no dashes, spaces, or special characters.

  • Continue through your return, clear any remaining errors, and transmit.

Once the ID is entered without special characters, you should be able to e-file without getting stuck.
