Yes, my husband died in September, 2017. I know I have to file as single for 2018 and set up new account. It won't let me.
Every time I try to set up a new account it bring me back to last year's. I'm in a loop of some kind.

Try deleting your web browser history, cache and cookies. You might also check the preferences to see if your browser is set to auto-log you in on the old account, and then delete the old account from the list if necessary.
