You are able to begin your tax return using TurboTax Free Edition, but if you do not qualify for it, you will be prompted to upgrade.

Please see the following link for tax situations covered in TurboTax Free Edition.

To see what you are being charged for please follow the instructions in the following FAQ.

Have you already paid?  It would have been good to ask before paying.

If you haven't already paid, the other thread that VolvoGirl gave you a link for above tells you how to remove the Live feature and downgrade to Free Edition.

If you already paid for Live Basic and didn't realize you were in a Live product and didn't use the Live services to consult with a CPA/EA tax expert and have them review your return, you could talk to Customer Support and tell them what happened.    I don't know what they will say or do, but it can't hurt to try.
