Occasionally you'll see the message Hmm, looks like we hit a slight snag in this section when using TurboTax. When this happens this area of TurboTax will be temporarily unavailable for approximately 60 minutes while it refreshes. Original Post

I am getting this error also but only when I click on the "review" button for declaring stock income. Every other page works on turbotax online works. I tried two different browsers, Two different computers and two different wifi networks each on two different days. I believe this is an issue on Turbo Tax side. I literally can not file because of this issue.
Please fix this.
I am about to hire a tax guy to avoid using turbo tax ever again.
I have the same issue. I tried contacting turbo tax and the representative walked me through clearing cache/cookies, restarting my pc, different browser, two different PCs on two different networks over two different days (well over the 60 min estimated refresh time suggested online). The issue is still here. Its clear the problem is on TurboTax side and that a lot of people are having this issue on online forums this year.
Please fix this as I am about to hire a tax guy to avoid ever using turbo tax again.
Can you delete the section that contains your investment transactions and re-enter the sale of stocks again and see if that resolves your issue?
I got this error using the TT app on my iPad (iPadOS 14.4) both yesterday and today. However, after a video session with TT help desk I tried using Chrome browser instead and got past the issue. So, there’s still an issue with the iOS TT app but not in the browser.
@aketo What version of TurboTax are you using, online or desktop?
You may need to clear your cache and cookies. Make sure your return is saved in your TurboTax account and then sign out. Clear the cache and delete the cookies on your computer, open a new browser, sign back into your account and try entering your information again. You may also want to change browsers, for example, if you are using Chrome, try switching to Firefox.
In addition to clearing your cache and cookies, you want to make sure your operating systems are up-to-date as well.

Using Windows Update to keep your system up-to-date
However, if this does not resolve your issue, please note the exact message and where you are encountering that message in the program. We will work with you towards a resolution to file your return accurately. Please click the link to contact TurboTax customer support.
The problem occurs in the iPad iOS 14:4. Got past it using Chrome browser.
@DannoCracker Thank you for that information. We are glad it worked out for you.
Im using Turbox tax online premier. Am I able to download a Mac version for desktop? I cleared my cache, cookes, used Chrome, Firefox and Safari browsers. This is getting ridiculous. Please escalate to engineering.
This happens in the Stock section.
I've been getting this message for over a week when I try to edit my self employment income or my (Sch E). I can enter and modify any other section of my return. How do I resolve?
Which version of TurboTax are you using?
If using TurboTax Online try to clear your browser's cache and delete cookies and then log back in and re-enter it.
If that doesn't work, try a different browser such as Firefox if you're currently using Chrome and vice versa.
If using TurboTax Desktop, make sure your software is up to date. You can also do a manual update to be sure.
If you continue to have issues please see the link below to contact one of our TurboTax representatives:
I had to switch to using the online version of TT using Chrome browser. Then, after I passed this buggy section, I went back to the app.
I had to use TT online using Chrome browser then, when done with this buggy section, went back to the app on my iPad.

After 4 hours Googling others with same issue (no resolution) then 2 hours on the phone with Tech Support who basically had no solution after making me wait 45 minutes while connected to Tier 2, they're only suggestion was to mail the returns or try a different computer. Really?
So disappointing.
After a decade with TurboTax, next year will be different. Time to go the Tax Act or H&R Block route
I'm getting this in 2025. Clearing cache and cookies did not work in Chromium. Neither did using Firefox, which I had not used before. I will try deleting the section (ARGH!) and re-entering all of the data. I'm keeping my eye out for TurboTax alternatives-- it has been getting worse the last few years, and last time I spent a ton of time on the phone with support resolving a similar issue, only for them to have me delete the section and try again.
I used to use TurboTax because it was a seamless experience. A bit pricey for virtual tax prep, but convenient and worth it. This is no longer the case for me with all of the software bugs.
In this case, looks like the error is:
Something went wrong: Cannot resolve binding: returns.IRS1040.Return.ReturnData.IRS1040ScheduleC[UUID='ffd2eff1-0a9a-4f4d-a0b6-8c6edd5f246d'].ScheduleCWorksheet.SuppliesExpenses
I am part-way thru my 2024 tax return using TurboTax on my desktop computer (not online). Things were going well until I tried to enter my Personal Property taxes for my vehicles yesterday. Every single time I tried to enter them, I got this error message: ” Hmm, looks like we've hit a snag. We recommend you revisit the last topic you were working on to make sure all your info's correct.” I repeatedly went back to the last topic (and earlier topics) and they were fine. I closed out and restarted TurboTax multiple times. I checked several times for updates (was up to date). Same thing this morning. I then tried Intuit’s suggested “w_perrelsuperpatchIS_ttax_2024.exe”. That did not help, either. I am really frustrated with this problem and would like to know how to actually resolve it and be able to continue my return.
In the Web version, the browser console typically has logs that indicate data corruption within a particular section of the tax return, often a different section from where the error occurs. Deleting the data in just the bad section and filling it in again fixes the issue (e.g., re-entering a W2). Since it looks like you're using the desktop version, I wonder if you could find logfiles with this information, or perhaps if you run the desktop app from the terminal (cmd.exe), the errors will display there so you can re-do just the affected part of the return. Otherwise, just deleting the entire return and starting over will probably work, unless a different error comes up.
