Why am I asked to log into Intuit instead of just beginning my return?

I downloaded TT2024 Premier. How do I start my return?

Did you get it installed and activated with the 16 digit License Code?   How to install and Activate the Desktop CD/Download program with a License Code

How to install TurboTax CD/Download software with license code

 

Then just open the program and start.  Or go up to File-New Tax Return.   You do have to log into an Online account just to install it.
