When I install Turbo Tx on a 2nd computer, it freezes with an Activation screen.

You should be able to download the product on multiple devices without any problems. Please see the following TurboTax FAQ for assistance with resolving the activation code issue: Activation Code resolution

The authentication screen is blank when I loaded on the 2nd computer  when I trouble shoot using the configuration compatibility the screen finally does show for entering the authentication code but  is frozen and doesn't take any input for the code

It isn't the firewall or security settings

Have you tried clearing your cache and refreshing? Help with doing so has been provided by clicking here.
