The CD TurboTax software is not available yet. TurboTax Desktop Tax Software Release Date estimated 11/14/2020. TurboTax Online Tax Preparation Launch Date estimated 11/28/2020. IRS Tax Filing Deadline is Wednesday, April 15 2021.
You can start to enter your tax information into the 2020 software when it becomes available but you will have to do updates until most likely late January (which is when the IRS usually opens up their e-filing system). Sometime even into February you would need to update because of changes to the tax laws etc.

Did anyone proof read this ??? There is no 2020-2021 tax year ... it is not like a school year.
And 11/28 is not in early December ... not on my calendar.
And the TY is not 19 any longer.
Although the downloaded program becomes available every year sometime mid to late November with the online following sometime in December they are NOT fully operational programs ... they are only beta versions. The final program and the state programs are never fully operational until late January at the earliest.

@delrohlfs The 2020 CD/download is available--and has been available for several weeks-- from TurboTax and from various retailers such as Amazon, Costco, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, etc. etc. etc.
