What is the federal identification number for the U.S. Census Bureau?

I worked as a temporary Enumerator last summer and received a YTD statement of wages and withholding, but did not receive a W-2.  The NewYork regional office administered the payroll.

We don't know the FEIN for the Census Bureau. Contact the Census Bureau to get your W-2.Perhaps you have an online account with the Census Bureau where you could get your W-2 in the year end statement or forms section.

If you should have received a W-2 and you took all necessary steps to get your W-2, you'll need to do a substitute W-2. The substitute W-2 doesn't require a FEIN.

  • If you received the D-444 earnings statement, it's similar to a paystub listing your hours/withholdings/net pay,
