What happened to TurboTax???

Due to an error in TurboTax last year TY2021 Our exemption from RMD was NOT taken into effect. Thus we overpaid and after realizing the TT error submitted an amended return. To date we have received nothing from IRS. I had hoped to find out if TT would be able to handle that this year. I (like everyone) have been unable to get a human at TT to answer my question. I even have a case number but that is no help either. I would be happy to pay for 'expert' help but told I don't qualify!!!  I've used TT for decades but it looks like you are going out of business. Very sad...must look elsewhere at a time I REALLY needed you.  Thanks (:((  HR

The IRS says that they have a backlog of five million amended and mailed in returns to begin this season - sorry that your return is part of that.

You aren't able to skip the RMD for 2021 so you shouldn't have any of the same problems in entering your data in the 2021 program that you had last year.  Quick tax law changes are always entertaining.

Reaching a TurboTax expert is always an option but you do need to pay extra for the live support unless you're just using the basic program.
