I am puzzled why this error message from the IRS website is one of the few places that is being posted, a turbotax help forum? Did everyone of the posters that arrived here all used Turbotax to file? I am rather curious, since I used Turbotax to file my taxes. But I have inquired among my peers, and some have already gotten their stimulus payment since April 15. I am really unsure, only the IRS programmers/management might know. The website from IRS FAQ is too generic, and since there is no one to contact now, I am not sure what to do, but sit around and wait. Not even sure, if for some reason, if you miss the boat, will the stimulus money be credited on next year's tax return. Right now, I am just hopeful to find another job, so that I do not lose my home.

If you "miss the boat" as you say then yes, the payment is credited on your next year's tax return.  However, the IRS still has many payments left to process and expects to continue processing payments throughout the rest of 2020 so there is still hope that yours will show up.

You're correct, though, that there isn't a whole lot that can be done at this point aside from waiting and continuing to check the IRS site for any new updates there.

I certainly hope that your job search is successful soon and things improve quickly for you!

Thank you. I thought so about it being deferred to next years tax refund. I believe if anyone misses the boat, the 1040 form would ask if whether you received the stimulus check, and you have to check that box or vice versa. Like you said, just have to wait and see. Thanks for your reply.

**bleep** guys it feels good to have someone else that has this same problem. Hopefully it gets resolved for all u guys. I felt like I was the only person not getting paid.  I checked reddit a day ago and they all say the same thing they are getting that I am.

Status payment not available and the bulletpoints bs comments

"we are not done filing ur file tax return" or "u are not eligible"

I am a nonfiler so  I was told I could still get it as long as I was independent. Just waiting for this thing to ever update, applied 4/10 and I guess ill never know if I get it or not

I have received the message above -

  • We don't have enough information yet (we're working on this), or
  • You're not eligible for a payment.

I have also received the letter that the stimulus check was deposited to my checking account. I am separated filing separately since 2019.  I just need to know if they deposited my stimulus into my ex (not yet divorced officially but have been living in separate states since 2018.

Thanks.

I am getting the same message. What's odd is that my first payment is listed and went to my bank. My account is still open and the second payment is giving me the same message mentioned here. I'm hoping it's only that a date hasn't been issued yet. 🤞

Same here. My first check is posted. But I'm getting the same error message. All of my information remains the same. I filed in 18 and 2019. I'm hoping that the information that is needed is just a date for deposit.

I don’t understand this message? My first payment went through just fine and is posted about on the page. I haven’t changed any information or bank accounts??? Is this happening to other people?? Is it still just early?

So I checked my transcript and my fate of deposited/issued is 1/4/20201 but the payment cycle is saying 20205302 which is wrong/error

What do you think the issue could be? Thank you
