Unable to file 2023 Federal tax form using E-File. I keep getting a message that I need to mail in my return due to some government regulations

I keep getting the same message on the e-file page of my program, that states I need to file my Federal tax return by mail, due to some regulations.

What is going on?  I am using the standard deductions for filing and have no other paperwork to include that

I haven't already input into Turbo Tax!

The message reads - We know it's not what you wanted to hear at this point. However, we do have details on your situation below.

Return                                     Issue

Federal Return              This return has certain forms that can't be e-filed, usually because of tax regulations,

so you'll need to print and file by mail. For more details, select the Review tab, above,

and continue through Final Review. To file by mail, select the File tab, continue and

                                         select File by Mail.

You'll also need to file your state return by mail.

If you return has certain forms that can't be Efiled, you want to know what forms those are.

If it's a matter of forms not yet being ready for Efile, then just be patient and wait until those forms are ready for Efile.  There are actually very few forms that can't be Efiled; mostly it's a matter of waiting until certain forms are ready.

Here's more info on Why Can't I Efile My Return?

Yes, if you are unable to Efile your Federal return, you will need to mail your State return also (since it links info from your Federal return).

All the forms in my return are listed as ready for e-file.

The other issue I have it is telling me that my state return is currently unavailable for view, print or download because some of the forms haven't been finalized yet. However, I have no state tax forms that are unapproved.

I have the same exact problem. ALL of my forms are available, ready and program updated but the same message appears! Also, cannot physically print my CA forms also as discussed here: https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/taxes/discussion/i-m-trying-to-finish-my-california-2023-taxes-but-it-says-the-forms-aren-t-available/00/3136189

The issue has been fixed, and the release is going out on 1/31. You can try printing on 02/01.
