Unable to e-file, caught in a "We Need a Little More Information Before You E-File" loop

I get this when I try to transmit electronically.  When I click continue, it goes back to Car and Truck Expenses worksheet for 3 different vehicles.

 

2 of these vehicles have a "0" for number of business miles from 07/01/2022 to 12/31/22 because they were sold/disposed of before 07/01/2022

 

1 of these vehicles have a "0" for number of business miles from 01/01/2022 to 06/30/2022 because it wasnt placed in service until after 06/30/2022

 

I click and verify the "0" in the correct boxes but it keeps looping and won't transmit.  It's got to be a bug due to expecting a vehicle to have mileage for the whole year but obviously this is a different circumstance.

Please try the following steps which may help clear the loop you are experiencing:

  • Log completely out of Turbo Tax.
  • Then, clear your cache and cookies within your browser and completely close out of it.  I have included the Help Articles below if you need assistance with clearing cache or cookies.
  • Re-open the browser and log back into Turbo Tax and see if this fixes the situation.
    • You can also try a different browser as well, or "incognito mode".

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, please reach back out here in the thread and someone will follow up with the next steps.

This is not turbotax online, this is turbotax home and business on windows.

Manual update did not work, still same error..sadly I think I will have to paper file :(

Well, I called phone support and they did the screen share and could see the same looping error.

 

The resolution? send me to Live tax and make me pay $99...

 

Im sorry, no thank you I dont need live tax help I need the software bug fixed not letting it go thru.  I am not paying $99 for no help.

 

Mailing looks like the only option, frustrating...
