I've just tried to file my Federal tax return and TurboTax won't let me file it. It gives me the following message:
"The IRS allows taxpayers to electronically file a maximum of 5 federal returns with the same phone number. This phone number has already been used to file 5 returns. ...... "
I live overseas so I cannot put my UK phone number into TurboTax as it WON'T TAKE IT. But TurboTax still insists on a USA daytime phone number. In the past I've just put in [phone number removed] which TurboTax would take and I could e-file my return. Now I get the above error and cannot file. I've tried other fake phone numbers and still get the same error. message. Please help.
